———————————————————————————————

Greetings Fellow JCI members!

Your NRRC has been doing its best to expedite the preparations for this year’s Awards especially the re designing of the e-Awards system website to get it ready for use this year. As part of this year’s preparations be informed that all e-bids that were uploaded last year will soon be deleted so as to avoid being incorporated to this year’s e-bids in the system. On this note, we wish to notify all the LOMs who want to recover all their 2006 e-bids for their reference are given the chance to do so until August 5, 2007. You can coordinate with your respective Immediate Past President and/or whoever your LOM member who knows the log in name and password to gain access to the system.

Please take note also on the following;

A) Award bids coverage

The general awards bid coverage (Group A,B,C and D) especially on the projects will start two (2) weeks after the Areacon last year (Sept. 1-3, 2006) and end two (2) weeks before this year’s Areacon (September 7-9, 2007). For the Natcon bids it will be announce later.

B) E-bids Uploading schedules

The start on the uploading of e-bids will be on August 8, 2007, however this date is still tentative depending on the outcome of the test run on the system this week. We will soon announce when the system will be fully ready. Again just a reminder the deadline for the uploading/editing of bids will be August 24, 2007 after this date the system will then be automatically locked.

C) Judges and Judging

At this point your NRRC is already busy in consolidating who will comprise the pool of judges. We need at least ten (10) judges per area to choose from. Those who will be interested to serve as e-Awards Judge kindly submit your name to the JCIP Secretariat copy furnished to the respective ARRC Chairmen not later than August 5, 2007. The candidates must be duly endorsed by the LOM President. Be informed further that the start of Judging will be on August 26, 2007 and it will end by August 31, 2007. This will give your NRRC/ARRC enough time to prepare for the awarding of winners during the respective Area Conferences.

D) Awards Winners

This year per advised of the National President your NRRC decided that only the winners for the MAJOR and MERIT will be awarded.

Rest assured that your NRRC will be giving pertinent updates from time to time to ensure the success of this year’s Awards. For further inquiries please feel free to call your respective ARRC Chairman or the undersigned.

For your information and guidance. “Be Better”

At your service,

Warmest greetings from the Secretariat!

We are very pleased to inform you that our organization, the JCI Philippines is this year’s Overall Chairman of the National Executive Committee of “ALAY LAKAD 2007”. This annual walk scheduled on September 2, 2007 is conducted nationwide and aims to raise funds for the socio-economic projects for the out-of-school youth. Assembly area will be announced later.

Alay Lakad started in 1972 and was declared a National Activity under Presidential Proclamation No. 1267. It enjoined all NGOs, private and public agencies engaged in youth development to maximize their efforts to help create a society that aims to attain the full economic and social well-being of the country’s underprivileged youth. It has become an annual tradition that highlights the plight of one of society’s neglected sector and the effective partnership between the public and private sectors in promoting the welfare of the youth.

In this regard, we would like to enjoin everyone to participate in this worthwhile activity. Your participation will certainly go a long way in ensuring a brighter future for our youth and for our country. This year being the LEAD N.G.O in our several meetings with Alay Lakad Foundation Executive Committee we carried on to initiate “Barya mo, Buhay ko” (YOUR COIN, MY LIFE) which will be launched during the Alay Lakad Day 2007. Participating LOMs at the National level Manila-Leg will earn one (1) JCIPEA point per participant, maximum of Ten (10) points, earn two (2) JCIPEA points per PHP 1,500 donation, maximum of Ten (10) points. For those from other parts of Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao can conduct their own local Alay-Lakad according to their agreed schedule and can earn the corresponding points in the JCIPEA. Participation of Local/Provincial will earn one (1) JCIPEA points maximum of ten (10) points, and earn three (3) JCIPEA points for conducting as lead local LOM.
