Re : Natcon e-Awards Bids date available for Uploading & JCIPEA E-bids cut-off

Dear Fellow JCI Members;
Greetings from your NRRC!
We are pleased to inform you that the e-Awards website will be available on September 07 for the uploading of your Natcon bids. As has been announced earlier thru NRRC Cir. No. 7 s. 2007, the start of uploading was move to an earlier date so as to accommodate request from the LOMs.to give them more time in the uploading/editing bids. All bids for NATCON should register again. The uploading process or mechanics will be the same with the Areacon except that this time it will now easier since you can use your Areacon entries by editing them.
A) Let me take this opportunity to again remind you on the following;
· We observed that there are those who uploaded high resolution pictures also other than the required JPG format like GIF, BMP, TIF AVI and even MP3s in the Areacon bids. We reiterate to please make sure all your pictures to be in JPG format. Uploading of very high resolution pictures will be STRICTLY PROHIBITED in the Natcon bids. A 300 kb or lower is fine as long as it will be clear enough to see by the judges.
· Also please avoid uploading of video or any animated pictures, definitely it will no longer be allowed this time. Those found doing the uploading of such files will automatically be DISQUALIFIED for the particular bid in the NatCon. No reconsideration shall be given. This is to prevent the server from being swamped with unnecessary files which we had noticed during AreaCon bids; hence many of you experienced difficulty in uploading. And this is to minimize time in the downloading pictures for viewing by the judges also to prevent clogging of files in our server. This is also for your own convenience as you can save time in your uploading process
· Kindly coordinate also with your members who wants to upload his/her bid as the system will not accept more than one (1) entry from the category coming from same chapter.
B) JCIPEA Final Cut-off – Be informed that as has been circularized thru Administrative Notice No. 1 s. 2007, the final cut-off for the JCIPEA this year will be on September 24, 2007 which is also be the final cut-off for the e-Awards Bids.
C) Deadline of submission for Jake Gonzales Memorial Award will be on Sept 24, 2007.
Lastly, while we experienced some kinks with the system during the Areacon we are always trying our best to assist everybody and solved such problems. Also we have received some complaints, childish whining and even request to extend uploading during the Areacon bids. As your NRRC Chair, much as we want to extend the deadline, we cannot as we also have specific deadlines to meet. We will always stand firm and consistent in its policies. All of us know that there is always room for improvement and as future leaders, let us learn how to follow rules. Let us all eliminate the bad habit of procrastination. Let us all be punctual and prompt to all things we are doing and this is include meeting deadlines. We therefore humbly advise to please don’t wait for deadlines to come.
Hoping that we have made our self clear so that we may not have the same problem on our forthcoming NatCon bids. Again thank you for your support, your participation will go along way for a better JCI Philippines and make this year’s awards a successful one.
