Greetings Fellow JCI Members!
All might be excited preparing to attend our 59th National Convention in Cebu City on October 11-14, 2007. One highlight of the Pre-Convention activities, which every LOM must not forget, is the 8th JCI Philippines Academy to be held on October 10-11, 2007 from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm at the Parklane International Hotel. This Seminar is free of charge (board and lodging during the Academy only) exclusive for Incoming LOM Presidents or a LOM representative having the proper endorsement, thanks to our host, the JCI Metro Cebu Uptown led by its LOM President, JCI Mem. Christian Paro-an.
Patterned with the JCI Academy and now on its 8th year of implementation, the course is designed to equip future LOM Presidents with the necessary skills to effectively handle the responsibility to lead their chapter. During the session, a series of seminars and workshops mainly to enhance the leadership skills are provided. Vital information and tips for proper interaction with our NOM, especially on LOM reports for submission to our Secretariat, are being taught. In addition, a team building seminar with the incoming National Board will also be conducted.
The NTC, headed by Chairman Gleendo Dasmarinas, shall be responsible for the entire course. The Head Trainers will be JCI Sen. Marlyn Cano (CNT) and JCI Mem. Mennen Aracid (IG). Other highly-skilled and well-respected trainers are invited as resource speakers during this two-day activity.
To start your term right, all 2008 LOM Presidents should not miss this JCIP Academy. In case the LOM has not yet elected a President or in the absence of the incoming President, the LOM can send a representative duly certified and/or endorsed by the LOM Board of Directors (Please use the attached LOM Endorsement Form). For a duly elected LOM President, please fill up the application form (Incoming LOM President’s Biodata, also attached) together with the LOM Endorsement Form. Be informed that LOM shall earn ten (10) JCIPEA points to be credited next year if they can send a delegate to the said Academy.
Please confirm participation by sending the incoming LOM President’s Biodata and/or the LOM Endorsement Form to the JCI Philippines Secretariat thru Fax No. (02)374-4138 not later than October 2, 2007, otherwise, all expenses shall be charged to the participant’s personal account.
